Booked Elfin for a week and had one of the best family vacations we have ever had. With no phones and iPads the kids still had a great time playing all the games and watching the movies supplied on Elfin. The boat worked great and was easy to handle and park. Paul gave great instruction and advice on the lesson before departure. We went from Murray Bridge up to Mannum hardly seeing anyone else on the river and had the most relaxing time and making great memories as a family with no distractions! Definitely recommend!
We had an amazing 5 days on the river in a compact but comfortable houseboat. The manner in which Jen handled bookings and enquiries was exemplary and she added a personal touch to emails. Galaxy is such a well equiped boat with everything you could want for a wonderful time away. The boat was large enough for a family, it was very clean and well maintained. It handled like a dream so very easy to navigate on the river. We just loved it and would highly recommend it to others.
Yes! providing you are over 18 years of age and have a car or boat licience. On your arrival you are given instructions on the operation and navigation of your Houseboat by a fully licenced Operator. You are then taken for a short instructional cruise to make sure you are comfortable handling the craft.
Maritime regulations state the number of persons on board must not exceed the number of berths, the maximum permissible is 12. Children under 12 months of age are not included in the count.
Yes! Houseboats are an ideal family holiday. If regulations are adhered to and common sense is used, we can all enjoy the river. Most Houseboats have excellent child safety areas.
